ABOUT ME
Compassion ~ Curiosity ~ Connection
My professional journey first began in the corporate world a number of years ago, but eventually I felt a pull toward a different path that would allow me to make an impact in a more personally meaningful way. Since then, I have been working in the field of mental health for the past 21 years and feel humbled to be trusted and connected to the emotional lives of many adults, teenagers and families. Prior to my current full-time private practice, I also gained extensive experience working as a therapist in both public and special education schools as well as mental health centers. Additionally, as a former director of a school-based mental health services organization, I devoted myself to the growth and development of numerous in-district counseling programs for students and families throughout northern and central New Jersey.
I received my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Tulane University and a Master of Social Work degree from New York University. I subsequently became an LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) in 2005 and later completed post-graduate training to become a psychoanalyst through the Institute For Psychoanalytic Studies. Additionally, I am a certified National Association of Social Workers Clinical Supervisor as well as a certified NJ School Social Worker.
