FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT IN THE FIRST SESSION?
The first session is an opportunity to talk about whatever is on your mind as it relates to your decision to seek therapy. We will work together at your pace to ensure that you feel as comfortable as possible in expressing your thoughts and feelings. The initial session is 60 minutes and all following sessions are 45 minutes.
WHAT ARE YOUR FEES?
Fees are based on the nature of the services that are provided (e.g. individual therapy, family therapy, consultation, supervision). I would be glad to further discuss fees when we speak on the phone prior to the first session and/or when we meet. I also accept sliding scale payments based on personal circumstances.
DO YOU ACCEPT INSURANCE?
Yes. I am currently an in-network provider for Cigna. Additionally, I work with all out-of-network insurance plans. If you are unsure whether you have out-of-network benefits through your insurance provider, I can handle the process of determining the nature of your benefits as well as submitting claims on your behalf as needed.
ARE YOU OFFERING IN-PERSON AND VIDEO SESSIONS DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC?
Effective November 8, 2021, I have resumed conducting in-person sessions for clients who are interested in doing so and are agreeable to the terms of the COVID-19 informed consent form as well the building/office protocols. I am also continuing to conduct video (telehealth) sessions via a safe and secure HIPAA compliant web-based platform. Phone sessions can also be provided as an alternative to video sessions as needed.
