FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT IN THE FIRST SESSION?
The first session is an opportunity to talk about whatever is on your mind as it relates to the decision to seek therapy. We will work together at your pace to ensure that you feel as comfortable as possible in expressing your thoughts and feelings. The initial session is 60 minutes and all following sessions are 45 minutes.
WHAT ARE YOUR FEES?
Fees are based on the nature of the services that are provided (e.g. individual therapy, family therapy, consultation, supervision). I would be glad to discuss fees when we speak on the phone prior to the first session and/or when we meet in person. I also accept sliding scale payments based on personal circumstances.
DO YOU ACCEPT INSURANCE?
Yes. I am currently an in-network provider for Cigna. Additionally, I work with all out-of-network insurance plans. If you have out-of-network benefits through your insurance provider, I can handle the process of submitting claims on your behalf as needed.
ARE YOU OFFERING IN-PERSON AND VIDEO SESSIONS DURING COVID-19 PANDEMIC?
Due to safety concerns regarding COVID-19, I have not yet resumed in-person sessions. All sessions are currently being conducted as video sessions (telehealth) via a safe and secure HIPAA compliant web-based platform. Phone sessions can also be provided as an alternative to video sessions as needed.
