FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT IN THE FIRST SESSION?
The first session is an opportunity to talk about whatever is on your mind as it relates to the decision to seek therapy. We will work together at your pace to ensure that you feel as comfortable as possible in expressing your thoughts and feelings. The session length is approximately 45 minutes.
WHAT ARE YOUR FEES?
Fees are based on the nature of the services that are provided (e.g. individual therapy, family therapy, consultation, supervision). I would be glad to discuss fees when we speak on the phone prior to the first session and/or when we meet in person. I also accept sliding scale payments based on personal circumstances.
DO YOU ACCEPT INSURANCE?
Yes. I am currently an in-network provider for Cigna. Additionally, I work with all out-of-network insurance plans. If you have out-of-network benefits through your insurance provider, I can handle the process of submitting claims on your behalf as needed.
DO YOU OFFER PHONE OR VIDEO SESSIONS?
Yes. As a means to provide flexibility in instances when you are unable to attend sessions in person, phone sessions can be conducted as well as video sessions via a safe and secure HIPAA compliant web-based platform.
